Sunday,  September 26 is the Day of Prayer for Older Adults in our Southern Province.

The Older Adult Committee has prepared planning ideas  and resources for this day.  We encourage congregations to include a focus on older adults as part of worship.

Beginning in August, the Board of World Mission office in Winston-Salem will be the collection point for Church World Service Health Kits.  Their office will be receiving both the kits and the shipping donation for kits.

We offer a hearty “thank-you” to Christ Moravian Church for serving as the collection point for many years and helping to make this program a success.

Information about the Health Kits program can be found here.

Saturday, October 2, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Ardmore Moravian Church is hosting “Opening the Doors: Growing Your Church.” — a one-day workshop on church growth and development.

The presenter is the Rev. Dr. J. Fred Lehr, Director of Church Planting, Moravian Church, Northern Province.  Fred brings a wealth of pastoral experience and a passion for missional outreach.

This event  will be helpful for clergy, lay leaders, outreach teams and interested individuals.  The focus is Gospel-centered and explores a variety of strategies and practical applications for reaching the un-churched and under-churched. There will be both plenary sessions and small group discussion.

Churches are encouraged to send a team of 3-4 members to this event.  Cost:  $15.00 per person.

October 17 is “Invite a Friend” in the Southern Province.  Congregations and fellowship are encouraged to have their members invite a friend, relative, acquaintance or neighbor to join them in worship that day.

The Evangelism Committee of the BEHM has prepared a guidebook and resources to help plan your congregation’s participation.  Click here for your copy.
